Stand and walk again just like other...

I know many people are going through trials in life.

Many of us are struggling to have a happy and complete life.

Unfortunately, we are not destined to be happy always like the way we wanted to be.

We are destined only to go on and move on with life no matter how hard it is to face the trials given to us.

No matter what life brings you, you must stay strong and never lose hope.

Just think that it’s not only you who’s experiencing the same problem.

It’s not only you who is suffering from emotional depression. Everybody does.

Life doesn’t always end in the darkness side.

There’s still light in the end that will make you feel better and relief.

You may seem to feel that life is so unfair.

Tomorrow, you will soon understand that life includes all the things happened in your life.

You just have to stand and walk again even after many fall…

Just like any other people...

Hong Kong Spots

A shot from Avenue of Stars in Hongkong. It was nice to see laser show every night at 8pm. The lights from the building are dancing with the music. There are lots of people watching the show. Most of them are from different countries. If you want to have an express photoshot as a souvenir, you can find photo stand anywhere. For only 10 HKD per shot.

As you walk around, you can find these spots where you can take your pictures. On the ground, you'll also see hand prints from various artist, Bruce Lee's scuplture, a park at the end near the Star Ferry Station.

If you'd like to see the traditional night market, you can go to Ladies Market.
There you can find, many souvenirs. If you are expert in making a good deal for "for sale items", this is the right place for you.

Smoke caused wrinkles

Do you hang out in smoky places more than thrice a week? If so, do you know that its harmful to your skin as it triggers the release of wrinkle-causing free radicals because those clouds contain significant levels of nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide, a research from Tom Mammone executive director of Clinique biological research and development.
This article got from Cosmopolitan is very helpful to me since I’m one of those who encountered smoky places every time I got to work.
We can’t avoid smoky places or sharing airspace with smokers. It’s there lifestyle so we can’t do something about it. What we can do is to clean up when we get home to prevent more free-radical damage.

Unwinding Techniques @ Home

After a long busy day at work, we sometimes need a relaxation when got home. This is to reduce stress level got from heavy loads at work and all. I’ve taken this information from Cosmopolitan and I hope somehow can help you lessen your stressed day.

1. Home-made spa fix.
At the end of the day, don’t forget to give your feet a treat. Give them some gentle exfoliating or soak them in warm water. Add some aromatic candles in the bathroom for further calming.

2. Comfy Clothes
Wear your most comfortable clothes once you get home. This will help your body reduce and adjust better to your other distressing techniques.

3. Mini Massage
Loosen up those hard shoulder muscles with a handy wooden massager. A 3-5 minutes massage is enough to relax your body.

4. Pillow
Lessen your back strain and keep it well supported with pillow. Compared to your stiff chair and car seat, you can move freely with pillows on your back.

5. Tummy Tickler
You can also enjoy the comfort of a hot soup or noodles.

6. Ice Cubes
Beat the heat and humidity by placing ice tubes at your temples. This can lower your body temperature especially after a long day in the sun. You can also use the tubes to keep your drinks nicely and chilled.

Do not ignore the signs of Breast Cancer

Sometimes we tend to ignore things that happened in our body.
We don’t care about it until we sense something odd or strange.
Breast Cancer is a
cancer of the glandular breast tissue. This is fifth most common cause of cancer death.
You can check with below guidelines so you’ll know the actions that need to be done just in case you are one of them.

5 Strange Signs of Breast Cancer

1. Thickening near your armfit
If the skin on your upper corner of your chest (where it intersects with your armfit) feels thick or knotty, it could indicate a tumor that has spread to the nearby lymph nodes.

2. Scaling around the areola.
If any sections of the areola seems scaly or you notice a sore there that doesn’t heal after a few weeks, you may have a rare form of breast cancer called Paget’s disease.

3. A puckered texture
As a tumor grows in breast tissue, it can crowd out the ligaments that make skin firm and smooth, causing a dimpled creased appearance.

4. Changed in color
A reddish skin inflammation that appears on any part of your pair persists for more than a week, maybe a sign of the disease.

5. An inverted nipple.
While some women are born with one or both their nipples turned inward, one that suddenly retracts is a sign that a lump may be growing under the breast’s areola.

Tummy - Taming Trick

Looking sexy doesn't require a perfect body figure.
But to make it real though, workout and proper diet is needed.
Let's start faking it, here's simple trick shared to us by Cosmopolitan.

"Women in general have the tendency to slouch, making the puson stand out.
Quejada suggests keeping a good posture to help lenghten the torso this gives "a flatter appearance to the tummy region." Also, keeping your back straight and chin up make you appear more confident and way sexier than wearing a hot top. Start with this first faking tip and work on changing your lifestyle and redefining your workout regimen to make your fake flat puson a reality."

Eat your way to a Flatter Tummy

Most of the time, girls are so worried with their tummy especially when wearing fit blouses or dress. Here’s some tip how to eat your way to a flatter Puson from Cosmopolitan. This article doesn’t only apply to women, but gentle men also.
Eat the right food for that perfect shape!

1. Avoid salty and processed food.

Check food labels. Just because something doesn’t taste salty or sweet doesn’t mean that it isn’t high in belly bloaters (Sodium and Sugar)

2. Lay off the booze

Alcohol has a tendency to re-direct fat towards the midsection. “Research indicates that alcohol has the same effect as a magnet of a sponge for the abdominal region, wherein fat is accumulated more in the tummy instead of being spread out in the body. Notice how heavy drinkers have beer bellies despite their body size?” notes Quejada. Say no to carbonated drinks as well, which not only have a lot of sugar content, but can also instantly puff up your tummy.

3. Fill up on fiber

Not only do fiber-rich foods like fruits and veggies make you feel full, they also prevent constipation

4. Be Calorie conscious

Choose the source of your calories. Its not just how much you eat but how high the caloric content of your food that matters. Your caloric consumption and expenditure should cancel each other out, to avoid storing excess calories as fat , advises Quejada.

5. Don’t skip meals

This is the reason why starvation diets don’t work. Once you stop eating, your body sends a signal to your brain saying, “Hey, I don’t have much fuel left in me. You got to slow things down” Your metabolism slows down, burning even less than what you started with.

6. Eat five small meals

Have breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks in between. But you have to make sure that you eat smaller portions. This kind of diet will, in effect, speed up your metabolism.

Stop Office Pig-Outs

When we're busy at work, we sometimes don't care with the content of the food we eat as long as it's delicious and yummy. We even forget our conciousness in our body figure specially the ladies.
If you want not to get out of your figure, I have here some guides to stop office Pig-outs from Cosmopolitan.

1. Be a gazer

Boost your metabolism by eating a couple of small meals instead of a big lunch. "It'll prevent you from starving and overeating" says nutritionist Natalie Rosenstock.

2. Soak in sun

Exposure to sunlight ups your level of serotonin, a brain chemical that can suppress carb cravings. Nosh outside or eat near a window-just be sure to wear sunscreen.

3. Stake out dining spots

Research nearby take out places with low fat options."When your team's ordering food, you can suggest a healthy restaurant" says Rosenstock.

4. Avoid sugary cocktails

At happy hour, forget fruity drinks-they're loaded with calories. Opt for a glass of wine instead.

5. Put the pastry down and back away!

An interesting reflection: Slow Down Culture

Just want to share with you guys this article forwarded by a friend.
Take every moment of your life nice and slow :-)

---------

It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule.

Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results. Therefore, we have come to possess a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold x quantity of meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end, this always yields better results.

Said in another words:

1. Sweden is about the size of San Pablo, a state in Brazil.
2. Sweden has 9 million inhabitants.
3. Stockholm has 500,000 people.
4. Volvo, SAAB/Scania, Ericsson, Electrolux, Nokia are some of its owned companies. Volvo supplies the NASA.

The first time I was in Sweden, one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their car to work). The first day, I didn't say anything, either on the second or third. One morning I asked, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, and whoever gets in late will be late and need a place closer to the door, don't you think?" Imagine my face.

Nowadays, there's a movement in Europe named Slow Food. This movement establishes that people should eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing. Slow Food is against its counterpart: the spirit of Fast Food and what it stands for as a lifestyle. Slow Food is the basis for a bigger movement called Slow Europe, as mentioned by Business Week.

Basically, the movement questions the sense of "hurry" and "craziness" generated by globalization, fueled by the desire of "having in quantity" (life status) versus "having with quality", "life quality" or the "quality of being". French people, even though they work 35 hours per week, are more productive than Americans or British. Germans have established 28.8 hour workweeks and have seen their productivity driven up by 20%. This slow attitude has brought forth the US's attention, pupils of the fast and the "do it now!"

This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having a lower productivity. It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress. It means reestablishing family values, friends, free and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous. It means taking humans' essential values, the simplicity of living.

It stands for a less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive where humans enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence of spirit.

In the movie, Scent of a Woman, there's a scene where Al Pacino asks a girl to dance and she replies, "I can't, my boyfriend will be here any minute now." To which Al responds, "A life is lived in an instant." Then they dance to a tango.

Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in how each one of us does with our time. We need to live each moment. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

Congratulations for reading till the end of this message. There are many who will have stopped in the middle so as not to waste time in this globalized world.
